The food is often somewhere else—buried in the kit bag, held by a parent, or sometimes never packed at all. When the break is short, young athletes can miss the chance to refuel simply because it isn’t within reach.
Young athletes need energy for everyday life, growth, training and competition. The IOC and Australian Institute of Sport recognise that sustained underfueling can affect both health and performance.
FYA’s role is practical: it keeps appropriate fuel with the bottle athletes already take, making it easier to pack, carry and reach.
Taking their bottle becomes a prompt to think about fuel too—helping make fueling part of their preparation routine.

In our bottle, the removable 180 ml fuel pod twists securely beneath the 800 ml insulated water bottle chamber, so quick fuel stays separate from the drink but travels with it.

Questions before you buy
Can I choose a different colour for each bottle in a bundle?
Yes. Choose the colour of each bottle separately, so you can select matching bottles or mix Arctic Flame (Blue), Neon Flame (Pink) and Midnight Flame (Black). Each bottle comes with its matching lid and fuel pod.
What is included with the bottle?
Every bottle includes:
- One 800 ml insulated stainless-steel water chamber
- One removable 180 ml fuel pod
- One lockable, push-button flip-top lid
- The FYA Digital Performance Fueling Guide
What personalisation options are available?
You can choose:
- Name only — $15
- Name and number — $17.50
- Logo or approved custom design — $20
Personalised bottles may take up to 7 business days before dispatch. This timeframe begins once we have received all required wording and suitable artwork. We’ll contact you if an uploaded design cannot be reproduced clearly.
Is personalisation included in the bottle price?
No. Every bottle includes the official McCartney Tournament logo, while player personalisation is optional and charged separately for each bottle. Add a name for $15 or a name and playing number for $17.50. For bundles, you can personalise every bottle, selected bottles or none.
How much is shipping, can I collect from Crown Park and when will it arrive?
You can select PICKUP at check for FREE and collect it at our marquee at Crown Park when you arrive at the tournament.
Shipping costs $10.95.
Bottles are shipped in 1 to 3 business days.
For personalised bottles, allow up to 7 business days for personalisation before dispatch.
Courier delivery time begins after the order has been dispatched, and tracking details will be emailed once the order is on its way.
What can I carry in the fuel pod?
The 180 ml pod can hold solid foods such as gummies, chews, jellybeans, dried fruit, pretzels, cereal, nuts, chopped fruit and small pieces of snack bar.
Avoid foods that melt easily or leave heavy residue.
It can also hold small essentials such as keys, jewellery or a clean, dry mouthguard.
Never store food and non-food items together, and wash and dry the pod thoroughly before changing how you use it.
Can I put liquids in the fuel pod?
No. The fuel pod is designed for solid food and other small items. Liquids should only be carried in the main insulated bottle chamber.
Does the food stay separate from the drink?
Yes. The removable fuel pod is a separate compartment that twists securely beneath the insulated water chamber, so the food never comes into contact with the drink.
Is the bottle leakproof?
The push-button lid includes an integrated lock and is designed to resist leaks in kit bags. Always close the lid completely and engage the lock before transporting it.
Is it dishwasher safe, and how should I clean it?
The bottle itself is top-rack dishwasher safe. However, hand washing is recommended for the longest product life—especially for personalised bottles—to help protect the powder-coated finish and applied design.
Separate the bottle, lid and fuel pod, wash each part thoroughly and allow everything to dry completely before reassembling.
When is quick fuel useful?
Quick fuel can be useful during longer training sessions, games, tournaments, repeated games or short breaks when an athlete needs familiar fuel that is easy to reach.
We have people using it everyday at school, work, on the building site, in car trips, during walks and loads of other areas.
The bottle makes fuel more accessible, but families should still choose foods appropriate for the athlete, activity and timing.
Can personalised bottles be returned?
Personalised bottles are made to order and cannot be returned or exchanged because of a change of mind. They are also excluded from the 30-day Happiness Guarantee for change-of-mind returns.
If a personalised bottle is faulty, arrives damaged or does not match what you ordered, contact us and we’ll provide the appropriate remedy.

The Dual-Fuel bottle has quickly become an essential part of my training and game day needs. The quality of drink bottle is fantastic. I’ve never had to worry about warm water and the mouth piece has been designed excellently. However, my favourite feature is definitely the fuel pod. Being a cricketer it is very difficult to sustain energy over the long durations of a game. Sometimes we can be in the field for a whole day! This is where the fuel pod comes in clutch. Being able to get quick and easy energy at drinks breaks has been a game changer. I would recommend making the switch to FYA to any athlete looking to maximise their game day potential.
